You see what makes these ceramic creations absolutely stunning, is what happens when you turn off the light. Hungarian artist Bogi Fabian uses canvases that range from a white wall to the human body, but her works almost all have one thing in common – they don’t look like much at first. And that’s exactly what she wants you to think about!
Each part of her glowing ceramic collection is created with a special purpose – so each one is different in forms, motives and symbols. Although each one is unique, all of them are made with love and passion!
She wants to inspire people and send out good vibes with her work. In daylight it is a great jewelry, but the real character of each piece shows up in the dark when the astonishing colors lights and invites the wearer of the jewelry to dream. Her self created colors shine in the dark and gives the wearer an inner piece, because it is such a soft light the wearer want to forget their all day life for a moment and sink into another world of dreams and inspiration.
On her Facebook page Bogi says “They glow in the dark after charging with light. I carefully select my materials and the topics, which result in different forms, motives and symbols. There are about 13 working steps on average until a piece is completed. Each piece is put in the oven for 4 times at a temperature between 800 and 1150°C for glazing. I form, engrave, grind, paint and polish each piece during this development phase. That’s why there are not too many of the ceramics available, therefore each one is different and unique.”
