New inventions get put out into the world every day, but sometimes, they’re kind of pointless. Thankfully, there are also plenty of awesome inventions that could potentially make our lives infinitely more awesome. Below, we’ve compiled 33 of them.
Some of these gadget are still in the early phases of design (or simply exist as concepts in the inventor’s head), but we’re hoping they’ll all be for sale as soon as possible Especially #30- I would totally buy an entire set of those.
1. A clear kayak so you can see the ocean floor.
Why take a glass-bottomed boat ride when you’ve got your own? With a boat like this, you’d never miss a thing going on around you while you’re paddling through the waves.
2. A new way to wheel.
Though we’re certain that these look easier than they actually are, the concept behind these individual foot wheels is pretty awesome. Just make sure to wear a helmet.
3. The ultimate work station.
Perfect for those who are perpetually unorganized, this work station takes everything you need and puts it right in front of you. The best part? It charges your devices.
4. An iPad holder for when you’re lying down.
Because we’ve all experienced the pain of dropping a device on our faces when we were just trying to read or watch TV in bed.
5. The computer that sees for you.
This technology is amazing, and one can only hope that some day, it can be used for TVs and smartphones as well.
6. The flip flops that keep your stuff safe.
Never worry about losing your stuff at the beach with these flip flops that keep everything under wraps. They’re also inconspicuous, so nobody would think to steal them.
7. The secret ceiling bed.
Perfect for people who have guests but not a lot of extra space. Just make sure the bed doesn’t levitate back into the ceiling while your guests are on it.
8. Sit outside, no matter what the weather.
This comfy glass orb allows you to sit outside while not having to deal with rain, snow, or summertime bugs. However, you will have to deal with a lot of people staring at you.
9. A solar-powered purifier.
On a small scale, this could be used to help campers get their daily supply of H2O while in the wilderness. In the big picture, this could be a game-changer for those who live in impoverished communities without access to fresh water.
10. The heel-stopper.
Never sink into the grass in your stilettos with these awesome little stoppers. They also might help make your sky-high pumps a little more comfortable.
11. The faucet that waters the dog.
This hose attachment is activated by a sensor that releases water whenever your dog comes by for a drink. Say goodbye to that outdoor water bowl – this looks more fun, anyways.
13. The drone camera that sits on your wrist.
Though it’s only in its conceptual stages, this camera could detach itself from your wrist and use propellers to fly a few feet away to take a picture. In other words, if this actually gets made, we will know the future has truly arrived.
14. The scuba gear of the future.
The Triton is a way for divers to breath easily underwater, without all the pesky nuisance of having to carry around a tank. We wouldn’t want to be the person that had to test this out for the first time.
15. These handy shoe storage solutions.
Shoes piled up on the floor always looks messy, and these shoe hangers utilize the open space in your front hallways quite well.
16. The “Fat Magnet.”
This little kitchen gadget can be used to skim the fat off of the top of your soups and sauces. If it really works, it would be incredibly useful.
17. A Segway that works in the snow.
Because not all of us can live in tepid, warm climates – and because no matter where you’re from, riding a Segway is awesome.
19. The USB wall outlet.
Because it’s about time that this actually became a thing, right? Would be perfect for work stations with limited USB charging spots.
20. An awesome spiralized chip-and-dip..
This keeps your snacks and dip separate, because one one likes a soggy pita chip. This handy dish (and all the snacks in it) go extraordinarily well with wine.
21. The toaster that leaves a message.
This is like the new way to leave your kids notes on their packed breakfasts and lunches. You could also use it as a way to remind your spouse to pick up milk on the way home.
22. The hidden kitchen outlet.
Because you want to use your kitchen island for your appliances, but you don’t want the entire thing to be covered in ugly outlets.
23. The rugged wheelchair that gets you places.
This wheelchair has an amazing front set of wheels that extends to allow people to get down the stairs safely.
25. The foot hammock.
This is handier and more transportable than a foot stool, and it’s also incredibly comfortable. You could even hide one of these under your desk at work.
26. The stroller that takes parents for a ride.
Just because you’re a parent doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t have fun, right?
27. A bathtub for self-sufficient wheelchair users.
This is a bathtub that people can easily get in and out of, simply with the use of their arms. An invention like this could also be beneficial to the elderly, who often prefer to enter the bath sitting down.
28. The flashlight that really lights the way.
This flashlight points both downward and ahead, so you never have to worry about seeing where you’re going. This little gadget would be great for people who like to camp.
29. The alarm clock with reminders.
Because we all have moments when we know we need to be up for something, but we’re not exactly sure what.
30. The tea cup that efficiently handles your tea bag.
This cup actually strains your tea bag out for you, so you don’t have to worry about the bag dripping all over the coffee table or floor when you remove it.
31. A holder for that pesky Crock-Pot lid.
The lids on Crock Pots can get really messy, and no one wants to put it on their clean countertop. This handy holder makes it easy to store while you’re digging in.
32. A mesh cooking back.
Boil or blanche your foods easily in this mesh bag, then just toss it in the dishwasher for an easy clean.
33. Floating pool speakers.
Because listening to music in the pool is essential, and these bad boys will never get damaged from the water.
