Spend The Night In A Hotel Made Of Sand

You’ve heard of the cliffside hotel and even the airplane hotel, but have you ever heard of a hotel made entirely of sand? Well, The Zand Hotel in the Netherlands fits that bill. Constructed by event organizers for Global PowWow, this 60-room hotel was built in just four weeks.

On the exterior, the hotel looks exactly like a giant sand castle, just like the sand castles that are entered into the competition at the sand sculpture festival that happens each year.

The rooms in Zand Hotel look a bit dark, but that adds to the effect that you’re inside a room made entirely of sand.
